Personal data protection policy

The AXA Partners Group respects your privacy and ensures that all your personal data is processed in accordance with best confidentiality practices and applicable laws on data privacy – particularly the General Data Protection Regulation or “GDPR” (no. 2016/679. This personal data protection policy applies exclusively to data processing operations implemented on the axapartners.com website; information on how your data as a client of an entity belonging to the AXA Partners group is processed is included in the documentation that you received when you joined, together with the general terms and conditions of your insurance policy. Personal Data is understood as referring to any information relating to an identified or identifiable person (a data subject); an identifiable natural person is a natural person who can be identified, either directly or indirectly, particularly through reference to an identifier, such as a name, identification number, location data, a username, or any other details specific to their physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.

For the purposes of this Policy, and in your capacity as a data subject, hereinafter, you will be referred to as "YOU" or "YOUR".

AXA Partners Holding SA, a French public limited company listed on the Nanterre Trades and Companies register under number 410.011.208, will serve as the Data controller for YOUR Personal Data (meaning that it will determine the purpose of YOUR data and the means used to process it).

The Data controller for Personal Data will be hereinafter referred to “US” or “OUR”.

What personal data do we collect?

WE collect the following types of personal data about YOU:

·         Identification and contact data, such as last name, first name, telephone number and email address.

·         Professional data, such as business sector, profession, the country in which YOU perform YOUR job, company name, professional email address.

WE process the categories of Personal Data listed above for the following purposes:

·     To provide an answer to any requests for information that you may have sent US via forms;

·     So you can receive email alerts about AXA Partner news.

What categories of sensitive data do we collect?

There are certain specific categories of personal data that WE do not process (namely information about a person's "racial" or ethnic origin, their political opinions, their religious or philosophical beliefs, their membership of any trade union, their genetic or biometric data, their health data or data about their sex lives or sexual orientation).

How do we use your personal data?

YOUR Personal Data is collected and used for the purposes referenced above on the basis of the consent that YOU grant on the contact form.

You are free to withdraw your consent at any time. However, remember that if YOU do withdraw YOUR consent, YOU will no longer receive any newsletters and will no longer be able to engage in discussions via the contact form. This being the case, your withdrawing your consent will not affect the legality of any processing operations undertaken prior to the withdrawal.

When do we share your personal data?

WE will only share the personal data that we collect via axapartners.com with identified and authorised recipients.

These recipients are as follows:

·         Companies in the AXA Partners Group which will be best able to grant YOUR requests;

·         Where applicable, companies making up the AXA Group to which AXA Partners belongs if WE see that these requests were intended for them.

·         The French authorities (administration, regulator, courts);

As a general rule, these recipients are located within the European Union (EU) or in countries outside the EU which provide an adequate level of protection (meaning that YOUR Personal data is afforded the same level of protection as it would be within the EU).

Bear in mind that YOUR Personal Data may also be transferred to entities within the Group located in countries which do not provide an adequate level of protection; in such cases, AXA Partners provides guarantees to ensure the security and confidentiality of YOUR Personal Data, ensuring that such transfers are governed by Binding Corporate Rules.

How do we protect your personal data?

WE use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect the personal information that WE collect and process about YOU. The measures that WE use are designed to provide a level of security that is appropriate for the risks inherent in processing YOUR personal information, in compliance with AXA Partners' standards.

How long will your personal data be kept?

The Personal data required for processing shall be kept in compliance with the information presented in the following table:

Sending of messages via the contact form : 1 year

Sending of newsletters : until users unsubscribe

What are your rights in relation to your personal data?

In accordance with the French data protection act of 6 January 1978 (amended) and with the GDPR, YOU are entitled to

·         access YOUR Personal data;

·         correct YOUR Personal data;

·         request the deletion of YOUR Personal data;

·         request that the processing of YOUR Personal data be limited to certain circumstances; and

·         request the portability of YOUR Personal data, when applicable.

If YOU are a French citizen, YOU are also entitled to decide how YOUR data should be used after YOUR death.

Please note that, insofar as the processing of YOUR data is contingent on YOUR giving your consent, YOU are free to withdraw it at any time. However, remember that if YOU do, YOU will no longer receive any newsletters and will no longer be able to engage in discussions via the contact form. This being the case, YOUR withdrawing your consent will not affect the legality of any processing operations undertaken prior to the withdrawal.

YOU may send any requests pertaining to YOUR rights and YOUR Personal data to OUR data protection officer at axapartners.privacy@axa-assistance.com.

YOU may be asked for information to confirm YOUR identity and / or to help the company locate the data that YOU are looking for within the framework of OUR answer to YOUR request.

Finally, YOU are entitled to inform a competent supervisory authority, particularly one in the member state of YOUR usual country of residence, where YOU work or at the location where YOU believe that your rights may have been breached of any concerns YOU may have regarding the way in which YOUR personal data is being processed.

Update of the personal data protection policy

We may update this Personal Data Protection Policy from time to time to ensure compliance with legal, technical or commercial changes. When WE update OUR personal data protection policy, WE will take appropriate measures to inform YOU, in line with the scale of the changes we make. We will obtain YOUR consent for any major changes that we make to the personal data protection policy if it is required by the legislation applicable to data protection.
